About me I’ve been lucky enough to be part of the team at Homes & Gardens magazine for the past eight years, starting as the intern and moving up until I reached my perfect job as Shopping & News editor. I love sourcing unique interiors pieces, I'm am always searching for the most interesting items around and love hearing peoples stories so I can re-tell them in the magazine.
My specialist subjects As the Shopping & News Editor I’ve built up an encyclopaedic knowledge of interiors – at a glance, I can tell you where any interiors piece is from, whether it's a wallpaper or wardrobe.
My favourite places to shop I’m always drawn to handcrafted products, things that can’t be mass produced and show the viable hand of the maker. Shops like 8 Holland Street and The Shop Floor Project are always championing new and interesting craftspeople. Petersham Nurseries – because even if you don’t buy anything you’ll still feel inspired and Rowen & Wren because they make the mundane and everyday look like an item to be treasured.
The designers that inspire me This could be a very long list. Steven Gambrel for his tailored interiors - rich in colour but retrained in pattern, Rose Uniacke - her interiors are almost monastic but their is such beauty in the simplicity of a refined palette and Oliver Gustav – because he inspired me to love a house plant.
My decorating style Pared-down with lots of natural materials.
