Great British Bake Off winner to make the Queen’s 90th birthday cake
Nadiya Hussian announced on Friday that she will be baking the cake for the Queen’s birthday
She stole our hearts during the Great British Bake Off and now Nadiya Hussain really is proving (sorry, we had to) that she has what it takes to make it big in the baking world.
Tackling what has to be one of the most impressive baking feats to date, she will be baking the Queen's birthday cake for her 90th birthday.
The baking star revealed all on Friday's episode of Loose Women and seemed both nervous and excited - as you would be! ‘I'm so nervous I can't even look at the oven right now,' she said. Well let's hope that passes as she's got a big job ahead of her!
According to Nadiya, she considered a traditional fruitcake but instead has opted for something a little more exciting. She will be baking an orange drizzle with orange curd and orange buttercream and fondant for the Queen and will be delivering it this week. We can't wait to see the finished product!
