How to make floor cushions work whatever your style
We show you how to make floor cushions match your home style...
1, Child friendly
Kids rooms and child friendly environments are ideal settings for floor cushions. Have fun playing around with different patterns and prints, but stay high-street so you can update as your little ones find their styles. The best bit? They're perfect for sleepovers if you don't have enough beds!
2, Minimalist
Floor cushions with pared-back style might seem incongruous, but they can add a subtle extra comfort to a room. Take inspiration from this restful pale oasis and find cushions in a shade which matches your flooring or blankets so as not to create a disturbance. Silks and cottons work especially well for the more minimalist spaces.
3, Traveller
If your style is on the exotic and tribal side of things, then floor cushions are a match made in heaven! Mix and match textiles and prints to create a bohemian vibe, although it's worth sticking to a similar colour palette for a cohesion and calm effect.
4, Eclectic
Love a bit of mixing and matching patterns and prints? Then chose a bold design for a floor cushion for a cool contrast and funky feel. We love how this room is perfect for a child's space with it's fun, carnival-esque appearance.
5, Rustic
A country or holiday home is the ideal setting for some comfy lounge areas made up of squishy floor cushions. Terry cloth, denims and simple cottons are the way to go to reflect your rustic vibe. Try mimicking this room by choosing curtains in the same material as the cushions.
