Top of the tepees - our favourite dens for kids
It's tepee time - fun for the little ones and easy on the eye
Tepee, tipi or teepee? However you like to spell it, if you're anticipating restless kids this bank holiday weekend, it's the solution. Be it indoors or in the garden, a tepee creates a space for imagination and keeps little heads occupied for hours. We've rounded up our favourites.
This pretty Flowers and Butterfly tepee (£59.99, Lakeland) is fit for a princess. It comes with wooden poles making it sturdy and stylish and includes a hook and loop door mechanism should your little one wish to play in peace.
If they've got a sweet tooth, they'll love the Sweet Dreams tepee from Little Campers at Harrods (£199). It's 100 per cent waterproof, so kids can build a little den in the garden and keep occupied come rain or shine.
We love a pop of colour and pattern, so this Play tepee from KidKraft (£69.99, Fun Time Toy Company) is ideal. It will fit into any contemporary bedroom scheme or stand out as a garden centrepiece, as well provide a fun play space.
Something to please both boys and girls, the Hideout wigwam (£60, Great Little Trading Company) has a cute animal/Wild West theme that's set to get young imaginations running riot.
The Top of the Pops tent by Field Candy (£145, notonthehighstreet) has a Lichtenstein vibe and can be personalised with your little one's name to feel extra-special. It's bound to make a statement.
If they're just about crawling, this is the perfect in-betweener, fitting elegantly into a nursery. The grey and white stripe (approx £80) is just one of the colour schemes available from Ashley Gabby at Etsy.

Boho and beautiful, this tepee in Mint from Bodie and Fou (approx £170) is made from dyed vintage fabric with wood poles and feathers to decorate. Add a few folksy printed cushions and some of their favourite toys and you've got a den to die for!
