The open fireplace in the living room is both a cosy focal point and an interesting architectural feature.

For a similar decorative panel try Myakka. Liberty sells rugs like this. The sofa is from Ikea, and the floral throw is from Graham & Green.

The travertine tiles add a rustic farmhouse feel to the new build.

The tiles are from Beswick Stone. Find a dresser like this at Castle Gibson, and Lombok sells wicker baskets. The candle holders are from Cox & Cox.

The bedroom mixes cool, white walls with aged wood. 

The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball's Strong White. Fourposterbeds.co.uk has a good range of four posters. The door was a junk-yard find, but try Lassco for similar. The throws and cushions are from Cox & Cox and Designers at Debenhams.

A tranquil bathing area has been created in one corner of the bedroom.

The oval table is from Stonewood. The Towel Ladder is from Cox & Cox. The White Company sells towels. For a hide try The Real Rug Company, and John Lewis's Flokati is similar to this shaggy rug. Chic Shack sells chairs like this.

9/9 Children’s room | Barn-style new-build house tour

The kids can enjoy the freedom to draw and write what they want on the bedroom wall.

The desks were an ebay find, but Retrouvius sells similar. Habitat stocks Tam Tam stools. The rug is from Ikea.
