A stylish curved cupboard, clad in stainless steel, promotes an easy flow into the kitchen area, while disguising an essential structural pillar. Yellow hi-gloss cabinetry contrasts with walls painted in Crowns Soft Linen. Marmoleum Click flooring in Raven adds an industrial feel to the working area and the dining floor is covered with Coffee Satin Bamboo by Simply Bamboo. For similar cabinetry, try Rational.

2/7 Hob and ovens
The hob area is topped with a single expanse of African Black granite that took five people to lift into position. The flying glass breakfast bar was sandblasted at Camel Glass. The induction hob and ovens are all Neff.
3/7 Sink
The Astracast sink has an exposed stainless-steel front that links in with the cabinet handles and appliances. At the windows, simple, made-to-measure slatted coverings from North Devon Blinds to allow the units to shine.
4/7 Tap
Smooth black granite extends around the stainless-steel sink that is paired with an elegant Astracast tap in brushed steel. For a similar washing-up bowl try Bodie and Fou.
5/7 Pull-out bin
A smart Brabantia bin tucks away neatly in a deep drawer at the side of the American-style Samsung fridge freezer, while glassware is stored in the cupboard above. At the opposite end of the tall yellow housing, a pull-out larder holds tins and dry goods and can be accessed easily from both sides.
6/7 Walnut splashback
A regular coat of oil keeps the American walnut worktop and splashback in good condition. For a similar coffee pot try Bodum.
7/7 Magic corner
These kidney-shaped pull-out storage shelves make good use of the space in the cupboards. The crockery is from The White Company.
