Range cooker
Kitchen diner
The David Dewing Designs kitchen is divided into two zones, linked by the chimney breast positioned in the centre of the room. A sense of continuity is maintained by using character-grade sanded oak floorboards throughout, while the large Lacanche range cooker and bespoke oak dining table clearly demarcate the two spaces.
Worktops
Dark granite worktops from Hunsdon Marble complement mottled pewter knob handles, while the cabinets are painted in a specially mixed blue shade by Dulux.
Sink and tap
The farmhouse-style porcelain-levered tap is from Barber Wilson. It's been fitted with a matching rinse that has an adjustable hose to reach both bowls of the Kohler sink, and there's also a single-lever filter tap from Fountain Filters to provide drinking water on demand.
Larder
Slim racks incorporated behind the larder door create handy storage for spices and oils. The cupboard is large enough to accommodate the toaster, ensuring that the worktops are kept clutter free.
Fridge drawer
In the dining area, the bureau-style cupboard has been painted in Wild Mushroom 2 by Dulux and includes a drawer fridge by Hotpoint so that drinks and condiments are within easy reach during meals.
Dining table
Original dark beams painted in Pointing by Farrow & Ball make the room feel more spacious. A bespoke solid oak table complements the John Lewis chairs. A striped Carlotta blind from GP & J Baker echoes the nautical colour scheme.
