5 reasons Livingetc loves... check wallpaper
Roundup of on-trend check, tartan and plaid wallpapers
1. It's big for spring/summer 2015!
Say hello to the Charlotta, just out from Sandberg. Spring/summer 2015 gingham may be subtle
in colour, but it's large in scale. With all the comforting undertones of a tartan rug, the oversized check wallpaper makes a warm backdrop to a contemporary living space, complete with mid-century sofa, Crittall-style windows and stone floor. So, literally, you live this trend large.

This Mulberry Home wallpaper updates the heritage print with touches of gold (Oriental bowls, lamps, table legs and round mirror). The lines of the leather modular sofa and the Julian Chichester black stained console table blend classic and contemporary design perfectly. A colourful wool rug and touchy-feely ottoman add warmth and a light touch.

The Ester check wallpaper makes for an inviting, fuss-free office space. Complete the look with a pale wood desk (the check actually highlights the grain in the ash) and industrial-style metal lamp. The textile feel of this Sandberg wall hanging pays homage to the brand's west Sweden location, which has a heritage of textile production. Doesn't this environment make working from home that bit easier?
