Go glamping without a lifting a finger in a Vipp dapper den
Camp in the forest beneath the stars without getting cold or even lifting a finger. That's our kind of camping!
The Danish design company Vipp began its story in 1939 when small metal factory owner, Holger Nielson, helped fit his new wife's hairdressing salon with basic furniture - including the first ever pedal bin.
As her customers fell in love with the interior of the salon, particularly the practical pedal, Nielson's demands grew and so began the international company that is Vipp.
So when Vipp told us that we could now live in one of its products, we didn't know what to imagine. But no, they do not mean sleep in a pedal bin, but rather in their latest mod, a Vipp shelter.
After much success with industrial objects, the Danish designer is now trying its hand at architecture by creating a range of 55 metre-squared shelters. These stylish boxes are simple in design - a black pod with glass walls and ceiling - but offer a lot.
The den arrives at your address disassembled, but fear not fellow DIY dummies, for Vipp also build and install your plug in shelter so you don't have to lift a finger.
Go rural in the forest or set up home on the edge of a rapid river - wherever you choose, they will build.
The sleek exterior continues inside too, with walls covered in a mottled black and floors stripped back with an industrial slate look. The pods are fully fitted with Vipp products, naturally, including tables, shelving and even the toilet brush.
