Celebrity chef Rick Stein launches coastal-inspired home and cookware collection with Tesco
Famous for his love of seafood, celebrity chef Rick Stein has created a new range of home and cookware, inspired by his coastal surroundings
Chef, restaurateur and television presenter Rick Stein has launched his first homewares range.
The collection is heavily influenced by his love of everything
coastal - Rick grew up in Padstow, Cornwall where he now runs his eatery, the Seafood Restaurant - and his fondness for the sea (and
everything edible that lives in it) is evident in the gentle blue hues that feature throughout.
Renowned for his extensive global travels and his 19 cookbooks, Rick's
love of food has been translated across the range, with
several dishes specifically designed for sharing with family and
friends.
The tapas dish set is our favourite. Its three coloured bowls encapsulate a modern coastal feel, while its
wooden tray is suggestive of driftwood.
The irregular shapes of the white dinnerware (including fab,
slightly larger pasta bowls) have the look of glass worn smooth by the tide; a spoon rest has the feel of a
sea-shaped glass pebble.
Casserole dishes, measuring cups and a wooden utensil set complete the
cookware, all featuring whites and dark blues, with a splash of red
to round off the coastal theme.
'Inspired by my childhood in Cornwall and recent memories of happy times cooking in Padstow and Australia, I've created a collection of rather lovely kitchen and tableware, perfect for cooking and sharing delicious food with family and friends,' says Rick Stein.
