Grow with style: inspirational online shops for chic gardeners
Browse Homes & Gardens' pick of the best online gardening shops to create the perfect outdoor space
As we welcome the first real flowers of spring, and thoughts turn to tending our gardens, we thought we'd share some of our favourite online shops for chic gardeners.
Let gardener John Tebbs’ exquisite good taste and eye for fine design inspire you and elevate your gardening world through his excellently curated online shop and journal, The Garden Edit.
Alongside handmade planters by artists such as Jessica Hans and Dana Bechert, and issues of specialist journal The Plant, there are beautifully crafted, handpicked essentials such as the reclaimed copper Forca hand fork by Grafa (above), £34.50; the exquisite, sculptural brass and cane watering can (top), H17xW39xD10cm, £895, by Carl Auböck, and one of the nicest doormats (below), £49.50, by Iris Hantverk, that we have seen in a while. Gardening has never been such a chic experience; thegardenedit.com
Rowen & Wren is another of our much-loved online destinations when it comes to garden-related products, and with a carefully chosen and always elegant outdoor collection, we recommend you take a look whenever you get the chance.
The company's latest additions online include these beautifully timeless metal pots (above), with simple linear detail and elegant verdigris patina, they are perfect for herbs or succulents, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Verdigris Brent plant pots: small, H7cmxDiam8cm, £11; medium, H12cmxDiam15cm, £22; large H23cmxDiam24cm, £38, all rowenandwren.co.uk

The Balcony Gardener is another favourite online garden shop, and especially useful for compact gardens including – as the shop name implies - those on balconies and rooftops. If you like bright, zingy colour, the current collection includes a new range of round, zinc-topped tables with rather fabulous neon-painted bases. Handcrafted in England, the tables come in Neon Pink, Orange and Yellow, each H75xDiam65cm, £215; thebalconygardener.com
Crocus is another dedicated gardening website that is respected for its range of plants as well as its own-designed gardening accessories, making it an invaluable one-stop resource for keen gardeners. Included in its spring 2015 collection is this rather clever fan-shaped plant support (above), H58xW50xD47cm, £54.99; its two-part design makes it easy to enclose a mature plant that has not needed a support while it was young. Alternatively, you can rest each half up against a wall, trellis or fence to support plants that prefer such positions. crocus.co.uk
