Hot shopping: The 20s are set to roar back into fashion this summer with Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan making Art Deco style seriously desirable
Every fortnight we bring you our pick of the hottest home products based around what's going on in the world of celebrity and entertainment - this week we're swooning over the roaring 20's; oh and that actor from Titanic...
At Housetohome we all have very different tastes (which makes for lively inter-office debate) but every so often a product, style, or film comes along that we all instantly agree on. Step forward The Great Gatsby.
Baz Luhrman's hotly anticipated film is due out in cinemas on May 1st
but when we saw these pre-release film stills we just had to share.
The glitz! The glamour! Leonardo DiCaprio dressed head to toe in dapper 1920's-style attire! There are so many things to fall in love with. We've had a little glimpse of the fabulously OTT film sets and have decided to dedicate this week's hot shopping to Art Deco style.
1 The delicate detailing on this china put us in mind of the fabulous jewels that Carey Mulligan spends most of the film draped in. If we cant have the pearls and tiaras we'll take the sugar bowl. Mikasa precious gem sugar bowl, £30, Milly's Store.
2 Cocktails. Possibly the most important accessory of the roaring twenties. We salute the era that knew how to party with this chic monochrome martini glass. Metallic fade cocktail glass, £10, John Lewis.
3 Where to rest the afore-mentioned cocktail glass? We suggest an Art Deco-style mirrored side table such as this chic little number. 'Clara' Art Deco side table, £335, Out There Interiors.
4 How would Daisy Buchanan dress her sofa? We're guessing she'd plump for a generous scattering of cushions, like this one inspired by the geometric shapes of The Great Gatsby era. Caraway square scatter cushion, £20, Made.com.
