House with private theme park in the garden on the market for a thrilling £8.5 million!
Would you like a theme-park in your back garden? This historic house could be yours, you just need a spare £8.5 million!
Westport House is not only believed to be the most beautiful house in Ireland, but it also comes with a pirate-themed theme park in the garden - and it could be yours if you happen to have a spare 8.5 million.
The owners are said to be 'reluctantly'
selling the 18th century mansion and its surrounding 455 acres, which is the centerpiece of one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions.
But, despite the wide range of tourist attractions and activities that have developed on the site in the past 50 years, the estate carries a debt of almost
£1 million.
Since being built in 1730, the house has had several developments and now has 10 bedrooms, two dining rooms, two libraries, a wine cellar and a dungeon.
There are breathtaking views of the Irish countryside with the infamous Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. The grounds also include a lake, river and, of course, the pirate-themed theme park.
But it doesn't stop there. Other activities include high ropes, tree climbing, go-karting, a zip-wire and train ride around the grounds. Imagine having all that on your doorstep!
Oh, and you can also go zorbing in the back garden.

It's hardly surprising that Westport House won the Irish Times ‘Best Place to Live in Ireland' award in 2012. We certainly wouldn't say no.
