Is your home on the hot list? New survey reveals the 20 British towns and cities most popular with property buyers
Cheltenham in Gloucestershire has topped the list of the most desirable place to live according to a new survey by Estate agent, Knight Frank
The regency spa town of Cheltenham is officially a property hot spot, with more homes being sold in this little corner of the UK than any other place in Britain, according to the latest research from estate agent, Knight Frank.
Home to the well-known racecourse and super posh ladies' college, Cheltenham is packed with Regency properties and pretty residential streets. In January alone, over £15m-worth of property went under offer here through Knight Frank. Wowser!
So how does your local area fare? Is it on the property hot list or the homes z-list?
According to the survey, the second most popular area in the UK is Leamington Spa. Located in Warwickshire, the town has good transport links, easy access to the motorway network and a growing population of young professionals.
The popular commuter town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is number five on the list, with sales up 50% on last year. People are attracted to the area's outstanding schools, independent shops and restaurants, and plenty of nearby green space.
If you're desparate to find out if your area's made it on to the most desirable list, check out the full results of the survey below:
