Modern Country Makes: Painted log stand

In this episode of Modern Country Makes we show you how to create painted log stands.

To make these wooded displays you will need:
- Sandpaper
- Log stumps
- Paint brush
- Paint
- Clear outdoor varnish

Step 1: Sand the top of the log down to ensure a smooth surface

Step 2: Once you have finished sanding the log, wipe away excess dust

Step 3: Paint the top of the log in a colour of your choice

Step 4: Leave to dry and apply a second coating

Step 5: Coat the top of the stand in varnish and leave to dry overnight

Step 6: Display on your front-door step alongside wellies and firewood
