Simple Solutions: How to make herb salt
We show you a simple hack for making herb salt to add flavour to your meals.
In this episode of Ideal Home’s Simple Solutions we show you how to make herb salt.
Step 1: Place dried herbs onto a chopping board. Use a mezzaluna to finely chop the herbs.
Step 2: Add a generous amount of sea salt to the herbs. Mix together and chop again using the mezzaluna. Continue to chop and work the sea salt into the herbs.
Step 3: Leave to dry until there is no moisture left. Pour the mixture into a mason jar.
Tip: Store in a sealed container for up to a year.
Tip: Make sure the mason jar has been sterlised
Use the herb salt to season risottos and roasts
